My Equipment Recommendation

I’ve included a list of kits, pedals and sticks that I’ve personally used over the years to play CloneHero and are at varying price points. The links below are amazon affiliate links and they help support the stream!

Drumsets

Roland TD-17KV2

Current Drumset – I use on my stream, however, it is the KV version. This one has slightly better cymbals. Great kit, rarely overhits and doesn’t have much crosstalk. If there is crosstalk to another pad, there is a built in tool /graph to see which pad is crosstalking.

~ $1,399

Alesis Nitro Max

Newer version I owned when I got started. I had a Alesis Nitro Mesh, and seems that this is the update version. Great set and lasted me quite a long time.

~ $399

Pedals

DW 2000 Double Kick

Current Pedal – Great pedal with a smooth action. U Joint came undone on stream a month into use, however DW Drums swiftly replaced this with a new one.

~ $229

PDP 700 Double Kick

Used an older version of the pedal and lasted me a good amount of beating on mostly single pedal Rockband charts when I played RB4

~ $159

Iron Cobra 200 Single Kick

Good single pedal and definitely a step up from the stock Alesis pedals or if you don’t see yourself using double kick (which you should because it’s fun!).

~ $79

Thrones

Tama 1st Chair

Current Throne – AWESOME and comfortable chair. Hydralics make it extremely smooth to operate and the base is super strong. Has good bounce as well!

~ $219

PDP Basic Throne

Basic throne, however was a decent throne for short sessions.

~ $69

Sticks

Nylon Green Sticks

Current Sticks – Don’t buy these. They give blisters and don’t bounce correctly. But do look cool on stream.

Zildjian 5A Green Wood Sticks

Pending Testing, but have great ratings and create a cool neon effect on UV lights.

~ $14

Vic Firth 5A Wood Sticks

Basic, Plain and Good.

~ $14
